Glossary
Domain
controller
This
is a server (usually running Microsoft NT Server) that validates users
when logging onto the domain. A domain is a network confined to the
machines that are used directly by your company (mainly in your office
building).
Hub/Switch
This
is a small box which acts to link many different machines together.
It is characterised by a number of network cable sockets and a number
of LED's, which serve to display the status of each cable connected.
