The Company
Helia Photonics are based in custom-designed facilities in central Scotland, and are experts in the coating and characterisation of semiconductor optoelectronic devices. Now in partnership with a major supplier of processed InP and GaAs wafers, Helia is a natural choice as a development and production partner for a range of semiconductor optoelectronic components.

Network Upgrade & Support

In-house maintenance of the network had led to a series of problems relating to pop-up adverts, viruses and general network performance. EVE installed wireless networking facilities and a new ADSL router/firewall device. All laptops and desktops were repaired and updated and computers linked to manufacturing machinery were linked into the network, allowing remote control of the kit.

MS 2003 Server-based Domain Controller & File Server
5 Workstation PC's, 6 Laptops, Laser & Inkjet Printers, Cabled Infrastructure, Hardware Firewall/VPN Devices, ADSL Modem, Wireless networking (802.11g)

Software:

Microsoft 2003 Small Business Server, MS Office 2003 Pro, bespoke equipment drivers
